Manasa’s Annual Sports Day – December 19th, 2009

It’s around 12:30 PM (December 19th, 2009) by the time we reached Maharishi Vidya Mandir. School is garlanded with balloons at the entrance.

Chasing the crowd, Srilakshmi, Kittu and I criss-crossed the parents lobby and skewed intto Children's area in an enthusiasism to spot Little Manasa along with her friends.

The sports event is all about ... There are individual Students Groups, Each group around 12 students. They will have to run for 50 meters and put the ballon on the chiar. Upon balloon gets blasted on Chair, they need to run back to their home. Upon returning to their home, other students run similar way 50 meters and blast the balloon and come back. Like this the competetion ends after all the students of the respective group completes. Which ever group completes this process in less cycle time will get the prize.

We are all waiting When Manasa's turn will come...





Now, we suddently saw Manasa's turn came. She started picking up the leap.
She crossed her 50 meters. Now she has to put the ball on the chair. She needs to blast the the Balloon and run back..

Oops.. The balloon got slipped. It was fun watching the moment. Many other students underwent the same experience.

Manasa went to pick the balloon from the ground to her chair to blast it. Ultimately, she was able to manage to blast the balloon.

She started returning to her parent group .
The next student picked up the same task from her group to maker her group in the first rank.
Like that all 15 students of her group repeated this exercise. Really, it was fun watching it.
What caught us in surprise is to watch the analytical discussions among students on how they performed.



This was an event full of fun and excitement.





We thank Maharishi Vidya Mandir School for hosting such a nice event. What is take a way for me is that when I told my little Manasa about the balloon being slipped, she became angry on me stating I am discouraging her. It took some time for me to connect to her again. Really, it was wonderful event...
